Does not USA also co-opt it's businesses such as Microsoft, etc, to act for the state. Are we going to pretend that back door exploits are not written into code for export? Let's pretend STUXNET never happened, too.
Russia is breaking international rules. They invaded Georgia and Ukraine. They stole Ukrainian children. Now they attack Europe with cyber and destroy undersea communication cables. Europeans are acknowledging Russia is already engaged in a hybrid war. Piracy only exists when there is peace.
Sure, all nations engage in such shenanigans. Israel conducts genocide. USA bombs Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, etc., French actions in Africa, and whatnot, ad nauseam.
Russia felt an existential threat, very much like USA during the Cuban missile crisis, and acted accordingly..Realpolitik.
America gambled on defeating Russia in Ukraine and lost, it's that simple.
Russia wasn’t and isn’t feeling an existential threat. At best, Putin feels an existential threat when he’s not surrounded by dictators, but Putin is not Russia. But Putin has been pretty clear for years, he feels that Ukraine and Ukrainians are Russian. Neither Putin’s desires for dictators around him nor his belief that Ukraine is not a real country are real politik.
And if we are only interested in real politik the Europeans should cripple the Russians while the Russian army is exposed and weakened in Ukraine.
Even the Pentagon admits that Russia is not weakened, but now much stronger, combat experienced, and better equipped. All new T-90M production doesn't even go to Ukraine, it's for reserve formations, according to US and SBU intel.
Nonsense. Putin was quite happy with Ukraine's neutrality, and still insists on it today as a condition of surrender.
And it's clear that NATO wouldn't last two weeks against Russia without resorting to nukes, and so that will not happen. Britain's MOD admits this, Germans have zero interest or will in fighting Russia again,,,Europe is fractured, and European kids are not going to sign up to take on Russia after watching Ukrainians die in gruesome detail on Telegram for three years.
Where do you get your info, because it's not serving you well, I think.

So much hypocrisy, so little time..
Since the shadow fleet turns off their AIS, what stops Russians enemies from seizing these ships and stealing the oil?
Like why aren’t European intelligence agencies capturing these vessels, charging the crews with espionage, and using asset forfeiture to take the oil?
Because that is piracy, for one..
What happened to the vaunted "Western rules-based International order"?? Right..only applied when of benefit to the West.
Russia doesn't give a fig about sanctions, and US proclamations no longer hold any weight for anyone.

So Russia can’t defeat Ukraine in 3 years and will take NATO in two weeks? 🤣🤣🤣
